Went for a lovely walk and a picnic in Wimbledon Common with Granny and Auntie Annabel.

We did all spend ALOT of time in the pool. It was great being able to wander out of the villa, 2 min walk and SPLASH!
Went to the beach a few times too, but the salt water really seemed to aggravate Ben's and Alfie's skin. They enjoyed sand castles etc, but found the waves a little intimidating I think. They were quite rough. Too rough for them to play by themselves. So, in the end we spent most of the time by the pool. We were lucky to inherit a whole bunch of inflatable toys - boats/balls/spaghettis at the end of the first week from a little boy who went home. Henceforth when we arrived at the pool, it was like the circus coming to town. Alex (Banks) started calling us "The Inflatables"

Alfie Spain July 2006

Alfie started the holiday in armbands at the shallow end, and ended it doing running dives into the deep end, swimming down to the bottom to retrieve his Mr.Incredible toy, back up to the top and then swimming to the side. Not bad for a just turned 4 year old, I'm sure I wasnt swimming that well until I was twice that age!

We all got up early and went for a lovely walk up a glen. Ice in the burn. It was a cold and frosty morning with lovely blue skys. We ended up sitting in the heather and sucking icicles as the day got hotter.
